Career Opportunities

Our client [a lighting design firm with an outstanding reputation and some very high-profile technology clients] is seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented, down-to-earth, mechanically inclined and hard-working, Associate Lighting Designer to oversee day-to-day management of projects, and work with our client’s lighting designers!

You will utilize your superior project management skills, your strong interest in aesthetics and your high comfort level dealing with a variety of players (including designers, electricians, interior designers and architects), attending meetings, and sending plans and updates.  You will also use your knowledge of commercial and/or residential lighting, your passion about what you do and your knowledge of CAD to revise drawings to keep the project moving.  You should have at least 2+ years’ experience working in lighting design or project management in residential or commercial lighting.

Our ideal candidate is currently an Associate Lighting Designer, Project Manager, Independent Contractor or a Specification (or Residential) Sales Representative who has project management skills and has worked with CAD and design software. In addition, a Principal with a one-person firm who misses a very collaborative studio environment will also be considered!  Our ideal candidate should also have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a variety of people including some high-end clients. AGI experience is preferred as well as an ability to do foot candle calculations, but neither is essential.  A degree in lighting design is a real plus, but not critical. Very little travel.

If you want a career, not a job, send us your resume along with an accomplishment that best demonstrates your most significant work. Include this in your email response and we’ll read it first.
