DIRECTOR OF SALES, NORTH AMERICA


Our client (an architectural lighting manufacturer who is financially stable and invests in product development) is seeking a strategic, open-minded Director of Sales, North America to manage their Regional Management team throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada, support and coach their team and make joint calls with their rep agent network!

You will utilize your sales management experience in the specification channel, your creative, outside-the-box thinking and great coaching and motivational skills as you train your new sales managers and mentor them, so they have good potential long term growth.  Your track record of growing sales will also come into play as you work with your more senior RMs to help them increase sales in selected territories and identify new strategies to continue growing sales as well as developing new incentive programs for our client’s rep agencies.

Our ideal candidate is currently a Director of Sales, National Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales or a Regional Vice President with a strong background in architectural lighting, is an ‘A’ player, a good coach, free of self-limiting beliefs and is skilled at growing and motivating her or his team!  In addition, our ideal candidate is highly motivated, open-minded and a creative problem-solver. Minimum of 7 years of sales management experience (of a direct team, not just rep agents) is critical; BS/BA is highly preferred.   Our client is doing acquisitions, has one of the nicest lighting catalogues in North America and other lighting manufacturers are copying them!  BS/BA degree is very highly preferred (but not essential); travel 50-60%.
