Our client (a very respected manufacturer poised for exponential growth) is seeking a passionate, highly driven, outgoing and personable National Sales Manager to work closely with their head of marketing to put together sales plans and then go out and execute as well as putting together a strategic operational plan for the current year with the focus on continuing to increase sales!

You will utilize your strong background in architectural lighting (outdoor is preferred, but some interior is a plus), your excellent presentation and planning skills and your understanding of the rep agent network as you review numbers with reps, discuss where they are growing, where they are struggling, and work with them to get input on where you can help them most effectively. Your high level of initiative will be very important as you look at our client’s regional breakdowns and possibly create an additional region. In addition, you will travel occasionally with your Regional Managers to meet with key customers, participate in our client’s strategic planning meetings and provide input to our client’s design team based on feedback you receive from the field.

Our ideal candidate is currently a confident, enthusiastic National Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales, Agency Principal (in a strong, growing market), or Regional Vice President and is a big-picture thinker. In addition, our ideal candidate has an excellent network of rep agency contacts, understands reps’ motivations, and works in partnership with them. Candidates who enjoy being involved with the IES, AIA, LIRC and/or IALD are highly preferred. She/he will have the opportunity to be a part of our client’s executive management team in 2–4 years! BS/BA degree is very highly preferred (but not essential); 40–50% travel during the first 12–18 months, 20–30% after that.
