Our client (a well-known manufacturer with a very entrepreneurial culture and some exciting new technology up their sleeve) is seeking an aggressive, smart, strategic and very tech-savvy Vice President of Sales with 3-5 years’ management experience to run their sales organization and manage their rep agency network nationally, reviewing and making changes as needed!

You will utilize your ability to ‘talk the talk’ with architects and lighting designers as you build and develop our client’s sales infrastructure, spend your time working with the specification community but also working with distributors and ESCOs. Your ability to get the most mindshare from your reps and entrepreneurial nature will be very important as you lead your sales team, participate in strategic planning meetings and attend product meetings.

Our ideal candidate is currently a Vice President of Sales, National Sales Manager or Regional Vice President (or possibly a Regional Manager with direct reports) with the ability to see the big picture and who can talk R9 values, but also sell them. Our ideal candidate is a proud, self-professed ‘lighting geek’ who’s hands-on and is willing to roll up her or his sleeves! Management experience is a must; an LC is a plus but not critical, as is involvement with the IES. BS/BA degree is very highly preferred (but not essential); 25% travel.
