Director of Sales, Midwest
Our client [who has invested a great deal in new product R&D and have quadrupled their engineering team] is looking for a dynamic, aggressive, polished and results-oriented entrepreneurial Director of Sales who can see the big picture as she/he manages their network of rep agents in the Midwest, make joint calls with them and manage the pipeline!
You will utilize your experience as a Regional Manager or Specification Sales Representative in a major market combined with your strong product knowledge in indoor architectural lighting (downlighting is a plus, not essential) and your superior network of lighting designers and specifiers as you focus initially on the Chicago, St. Louis and Minnesota markets.
Our ideal candidate is currently a Regional Sales Manager or Specification Sales Representative with experience calling on specifiers in the Chicagoland area as well as Minnesota and St. Louis markets. Additionally, our ideal candidate is not afraid to make sales calls, able to build strong relationships with rep agencies and enjoys hanging with lighting designers! IES and IALD involvement is a real plus. Degree is preferred but not essential; 40-50% travel (If based in Chicago). [Travel will take place once restrictions are lifted].
