Specification Sales Representative
Our client (a major player in their niche) is looking for an enthusiastic, goal-oriented, very customer-centric Specification Sales Representative to manage existing customers and projects and engage with people in the community, working with architects, engineers and lighting designers and is someone who understands the difference between getting the spec and actually closing the deal!
You’ll utilize your willingness to learn, your fresh attitude, your experience in the specification channel, your excellent understanding of the specification and construction cycles as you work with our client’s strong specification sales group. Your understanding of the differences between calling on an engineer versus a lighting designer versus an architect will help you greatly as will our client’s outstanding support structure—and you’ll have some great accounts to call on, too.
Our ideal candidate is a team player, has an ‘eat what you kill’ mentality, is ethical, doesn’t believe in excuses and is currently a Specification Sales Representative with a manufacturer or rep agency, Regional Manager or possibly a specifier who is excited about the ‘thrill of the hunt’ and closing projects. Additionally, our ideal candidate is engaged in her/his community, whether it’s AIA, IES or engaged socially and is skilled in utilizing LinkedIn Instagram, FB for business. Degree preferred but not critical. Very little travel.
