Pompeo Group’s client company (a stable, growing organization with a flat structure and strong mentorship culture) is seeking a decisive, self-directed, energetic, naturally competitive, and intellectually curious Electrical Engineer to serve as a cornerstone of its product development and new product introduction efforts! This role functions as the lead hands-on engineer, responsible for core circuit design, schematic development, PCB and power electronics architecture, prototype development, and whiteboarding technical solutions from initial customer specifications through functional products. You will spend the majority of your time performing deep circuit design work while also supporting sustaining engineering activities, collaborating closely with product, operations, and technical leadership to accelerate development output and solve complex design challenges!

You will use your strong foundation in math and physics along with your experience in power electronics to design, validate, and test circuits and boards from scratch. This role requires comfort working at the electronic bench, building and validating prototypes, and translating chipsets or emerging technologies into production-ready products. Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout concepts, power electronics design, and tools such as Altium is highly valued, as is the ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to both engineering and cross-functional teams.

Our ideal candidate is currently working as an Electrical Engineer, Power Electronics Engineer, Applications Engineer, or Field Applications Engineer who has transitioned into—or is eager to focus on—core design responsibility. You are comfortable saying “I don’t know” when appropriate, but decisive when solutions are clear, and you actively contribute ideas in team discussions. You enjoy being close to leadership, thrive in an environment where every voice matters, and are motivated by the opportunity to expand your technical toolset over time. A technical degree in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline is highly preferred; very little travel.
