Our client has retained Pompeo Group to find a proactive, resourceful and creative Midwest Regional Sales Manager to lead their efforts across a dynamic multi-state Midwest region to win specifications, develop projects, and drive revenue, creating and closing business through deep engagement with the design/specification community, as well as contractors and distributors!

You will use your personal drive, entrepreneurial spirit and start-up mentality combined with your experience in interior lighting and/or smart fixtures or controls as you develop and protect projects while working hands-on with your rep agencies, specifiers, and contractors as you manage all stages—from influencing design to coordinating internal support and ensuring successful close. Your strong project development skills, understanding of channel partnerships and ability to evaluate your rep network and recommend improvements will also come into play.

Our ideal candidate is currently a Regional Sales Manager, Specification Sales Representative with a manufacturer or rep agency, is located in Chicago or possibly Wisconsin, Ohio, or Detroit and has strong presentation and project leadership skills, and a track record of developing business. Experience calling on clients with multi-location footprints or large-scale strategic operations such as retail, hospitality, data centers, and/or industrial markets is not critical, but all are plusses! This is your chance to be the CEO of your territory! A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Expect 50% travel, with a primary focus on Chicago and Detroit, and growth opportunities in Ohio, Wisconsin, and the broader Midwest.
