Pompeo Group’s client company (a very innovative, cutting edge, and well-respected brand with whom we’ve placed other successful lighting professionals) is seeking an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your-sleeves, creative, enthusiastic, passionate and relationship-oriented Regional Sales Manager, New York/Northeast who is in touch with today’s new breed of lighting designers to build direct relationships with key specifiers, designers, contractors, distributors and channel partners, and drive specification-focused sales activity throughout NYC and New York State!

You will use your sense of energy, enthusiasm, passion for lighting, strong relationship-building skills, planning ability and polished sales presence to work closely with our client’s NY agent while also developing your own direct business relationships with architects, engineers, contractors and some distributors. Your experience spending significant time with specifiers, getting products onto plans, supporting project activity through the channel, and working collaboratively with internal regional sales peers on out-of-region specifications and cross-market opportunities, will serve you well in this role.

Our ideal candidate is currently a regional sales manager, specification sales professional, agency sales representative, or a contractor/distributor sales professional with strong relationships in the New York market. The right person is driven, proactive, team-oriented, has a strong rapport with the design/specification community, is comfortable asking for the order, and is energized by working in a transparent, supportive and fast-moving environment with a strong product story and a bright future.

Degree a plus but not required; very little overnight travel.
